Default quick help with driveshaft installation

JE Reel OE replacement driveshaft. The stock front DS has 8 small bolts with retainers between every two bolts. The new JE reel shaft came with replacement bolts. I figured I should use the replacement bolts, but should I use the stock retainers that go between each pair of bolts?

Unfortunately, I already have it installed without them, but before I install the rear, I want to make sure they are or are not needed!

Thanks for the input.

Yes, I would. By the way... the dealer sells those bolts at $15 buck a piece. I lost one, went to the dealer, then purchased it at a hardware store... grade 8 of course.
