Default Quick Mod Question

I just have a few quick questions about some mods I am looking into, any feedback would be great.

1. Any reviews/personal opinions about the Teraflex Spare Tire Extension Bracket? I thought of buying an extra 1.5 spidertrax wheel spacer but this seems to be a cheaper option. I am running stock 17" rims with 315/70/17

2. How long must you let RTV sealant set before you get moving? I want to change out diff covers but unsure if I need to wait for the RTV to set? I may just opt for some lube lockers.

3. Should I get some extra bolts for the set of Solid diff covers I'm going to be ordering? I have read some posts of users breaking the bolts off with lube lockers?

4. Is the Hypertech Max Programmer Mac/Apple compatible?

Thanks

I can't answer all of them, but here it goes.

I have 35" sitting on my existing set up with no real problems. You can buy the extended rubber stoppers if you like. By pushing your tire away from your tail gate, you increase the bending moment on the tail gate. Not saying it will cause your tail gate to bend, but you are adding an additional factor if you have an applied force on the tire that could increase your chances of bending your tail gate. Geekly speaking of course.

Most RTV's need 10 minutes to set. Read the back it will spell it out.

Your new cover should come with bolts. If your friend sheared his bolt.. either the cover applied more pressure to a single bolt causing it to break upon hitting an object, or he tighten it too much, or the bolts where to short. If you do get new bolts, make sure they are grade 8 or better.

No idea on that last one.

Don't use lube lockers. I read all the bad reviews when I had my TJ and I ignored them and bought anyways. Installed them and they both leaked. I was super pissed.

Just use high-temp RTV silicone... clear or black.

Most have been answered, but I used a Lube Locker on a USED diff cover I got and it has worked flawlessly since day one. Actually I havent seen/heard of many that leaked, notwithstanding the above post. If they werent such a bitch to get up here in Canada I would use it exclusively.
