Default Quick question...

Just bought a real axel and I want to make sure it's straight? Anyone know the easiest way to find out?

Maybe lay on a flat surface and measure at each end and in the middle the height from the shaft to the surface?

I have seen a few pics of guys using a laser level to shine a straight line at the housing.

If it is empty, take it to a shop and slide an alignment bar in. Or if nothing else, you may be able to just put a light at one end and look through to kinda eyeball it.
