Default Quick question on steering...

Ok i stole this pic from the bodylift clunk post because its the best example of what i'm talking about since i don't know the name of the bar, lol. Ok look at the bar that the stock steering stabilizer mounts too, the one with the two u bolts. when installing my new steering stabilizer i noticed that the bar rotates front to back about a 1/4 turn, is that normal? I've never owned anything with a solid front axle so i'm unfirmiliar with the geometery of it.

Thanks

That's the tie rod. And yes, it is normal for it to rotate just under 1/4 turn.

Mine rotates (always has) but now after banging it on some rocks really bad, it makes a "clang" noise when it rotates, sounds like it's coming from the ball joints.. So my guess is that mine is about to fail on me. Anyone know of any beefier aftermarket tierod and tierod ends?

Mine rotates as well. I believe it is normal also.
