Default Quiet exchaust options?

I know this is counterintuitive because most people are looking for sound. I had a dynomax dual exhaust on my last JK. I want to increase the flow and help out with some of the pedal lag on my 2015, but have no interest in a loud exhaust anymore. Just seeing if there are any quiet performance exhaust options out there

I'm curious too, though we may be a quiet minority. The increased flow helps with hp when some of us could really benefit from a little more torque (more restricted pipe...to an extent)

A muffler change won't do much for performance, though when i removed mine, i could've swore she felt more peppier, I went with a Magnaflow muffler, and had my local muffler shop do the welding job, that setup was fairly quiet, barely louder than stock, so mellow that i had the factory resonator deleted as i was actually looking for a tad more noise, and while it makes more noise than stock, it's not obnoxiously loud the way it is, even with the res deleted.

If you have an otherwise stock JK, just replace it with a stock muffler. Aftermarket exhausts on these JK 's don't do squat.

I agree 100%. I had to remove my stock muffler due to the coilovers. I drove around w/o it for a couple of weeks - horrible raspy sound. Kept the resonator and most of the stock pipe and added a universal MagnaFlow 22" free flow muffler. Now it's perfect.

Please don't put advertising in my posts that look like it's something I endorsed. I did not endorse that Banks Power ad that popped up in my post--I have no opinion about it because I have no experience with it. I understand JK-Forum needs to make money from advertising, but don't make it look like it's me promoting the product, please. A line demarking the ad from my own post would suffice. I have deleted my own comments, which offered what I considered good advice and info for OP.

it is frustrating as the ads are so freaking big you can not find the actual post some times.

I ran the exhaust from Dominion Off-road. It's quiet, probably exactly what your looking for. Much quieter than the MBRP that o had before.

Thanks! This is pretty much what we're known for, for the most part, though some of our off-road and competition/racing cat-backs can be pretty loud. Our typical street systems and universal mufflers do a good job of absorbing sound at idle and cruise but adding significant volume as you open the throttle. When quiet or loud, though, you get a nice, smooth deep tone regardless.

But the key point for the OP was wanting a livable volume with improved flow. Our universal mufflers are all straight-through with a perforated core, which means improved exhaust velocity and more power. Power gains from an entire cat-back exhaust top out around 10 percent (and that's typically high-power applications) so a muffler probably won't add gobs of power, but sometimes an extra pony or two in the powerband can make just-enough difference.

Hi,

That should not be happening if you are logged in. If it happens again, please take a screen shot of the ad, I'll get it removed. Thanks!
