Dynomax, any idea what is louder for the 2012 JKU. The DynoMax VT cutback or the 39510 axel-back. I ask because I had the 39510 and actually returned it for several reasons, including not liking the sound.

OK so the muffler used in the AXLE back (39510) is one of our quietest muffler we offer.
The VT muffler used in the cat-back system is in general LOUDER when you get on it, BUT at cruise is QUIETER than the Super Turbo.
I drove around in the cargo area/back seat of our 2012 JKU with a soft top on in Moab and the sound was quiet on the highway, but at a light when we stepped on it we could hear it.

Ok good, sounds like what I may be looking for than. I thought the 39510 was too quite actually when getting on the throttle which was one thing I did not like about it. It was a bit louder than stock, but not enough for me.

What's the difference between the 39456 and the 38456 VT? How do they differ in terms of sound, materials quality, rust resistance etc? Thx!

38456 will be a sometimes "loud" system when you get on it, but at cruise mellow.
Same materials, stainless steel mandrel bent construction with our Limited Lifetime Warranty. (Don't go hacking it up and expect a refund . :) )

With the help of Matt from Dynomax answering my questions (Thanks Matt!) I ordered my VT this weekend from Advanced Auto Parts. Should be in later this week and installed sometime next week. I can't Wait!
