Default R&P Self-installation???

Real quick question, i am looking to upgrade my 321 gears since i have gone to 35s. If i buy a ring and pinion and any other necessary parts, is it possible to do the conversion myself? I know it probably isnt a good idea regardless haha. Anyone ever do this? Thanks?

i have all the tools that any garage mechanic should have and have access to borrow anything i need. Good knowledge and combined knowledge with good friends who would be helping me. However ive heard that parts have to be heated up to crazy temperatures or something to install a r & p. not sure i want to dive into something quite that complicated...

if you have friends who are mechanics why not ask them if they can do it or help you do it? Is that too logical of a step?

yes, a few of them have said that they could but want to make sure there isnt any extremely intricate steps we are missing that only a ring and pinion shop could do.

Try this one.

You will want a new front carrier (or a full case limited/locker).
New bearings are a good thing, so you probably want the more expensive master install kits.
