Default Raceline Monster Beadlocks backspace

After two months of backorder, I cancelled on the black MT IIs today. Looking at going the Raceline Monster route. Will be running Toyo 37-13.50-17s on them. There are two choices, 17x9.5 w/ 4.0 BS or 17x8.5 w/4.75 backspacing. I like the 9.5 width better, but am concerned with the 4.0 BS. What are your experiences with the BS issue?? Teraflex calls for 4.5 for the lift with 37s...

the 4.0 backspacing will put the tire farther out. the lift will still work with the 4.0 backspacing. I think the stock wheels have like 6.0BS. Teraflex probably said, or means, 4.5 or less.

Yes I was wondering the same thing as that will probably be my wheel choice for my Jeep when it arrives. The only difference is I will be running 35's at first but may go the bigger is better route and bump up to 37's down the road..haha. Didn't mean to hijack the thread but I had the exact question. If there is anyone out there running these wheels with the 4" backspacing can you please post some pics. I'd like to see what they look like installed with the additional 1/2" of back spacing over the 4.5" recomendation. I'm sure the OP would like to see these as well. Thanks for all of your help.

Cool thanks for the pics. So 4" will be somewhere in the middle. They should look good and not stick out too far.

I'm gonna run the goodyear wrangler MT/R's 35x12.5 17's and run the stock flares for awhile. Maybe cut them.

Default Racelines

I ended up going with the 17x8.5 which have the 4.75 backspacing. Teraflex is local for me and had them in stock. I checked out a couple of versions. With 37-13.50-17 Toyo MTs, I was shocked to have no rubbing lock to lock on the street. I am still clearancing for offroad to determine what i will need to do. THESE LEAK LIKE MAD with toyos. I went with steel rings. The toyo bead is so thin, its a real issue trying to get them sealed. If you want to run Toyos, I would seriously recommend the aluminum ring... it has less cove for the bead and therefore does not bottom out as fast. For five, I am looking at $625 plus to upgrade the rings... dang hard on the wallet and leaves me a bit on the hostile side. OMF can also make them, but I am looking at a long lead time on them. Mean while, I have sealed them up to get down to about 5 lbs a day... lets me get to work and back.

Ok I think I got mine sealed. I used silicone on the bead on the ring side.
