Just finished mating my OMG that's expensive Camaro SS PWM fan to the Jeep rad tonight in order to keep the LT GenV 5.3 cool. Just wondering though - do those really long bolts (2) that hold the top of the rad in to the front clip frame have rubber isolaters beneath the large fender washers? My truck was a salvage unit (hit a deer and damage was minimal frontage) so if they need the rubbers then they were missed by whom repaired it. The bottom mounts just slip in to rubber idolaters so I assume the top ones do. Don't want to bugger up my US$699 fan and harness.
Just to show how that SS Fan fits please see attached. Almost like Chev made the Camaro fan for the Jeep. Just need some seal strip then it goes in. Had to cut some tabs off though. Pretty scary cutting into a $700 fan. Clearance from fan to Engine pulleys. Love the Gen V conversion as we use all Chev accessories and mounts with JK steering pump.
