Default radius arm long arm

just for debate and to have a better understanding what are the advantages of radius arm set ups? lets keep this conversation civil i dont want to knock anybodys product. hopefully some manufactures can chime in. full traction has thourghally explained how the factory style four link is supperior for extreme articulation crawling situations, and as an enginer it makes sense and i understand that. But, everything in life is an "enginering compromise". ive seen baja racers use a radious arm set up and seen what they call ladder bar set ups used in drag cars which is essentually similar in design to radius arms. so put crawling aside for a min where do radius arms fall on the enginering comprimise curve or where do they shine over a four link set up? mud? sand? please explain.

Good conversation and response.

Essentially bad for articulation and binding. Good for high speed and mega travel for jumping where the whole axle drops down as one.
