Rain Is The Devil!
Let me start off by saying, damn you mother nature and you thunderstorms! Right now I'm running the Bestop safari top with the door surrounds and duster cover on my '10 Islander JKU which is a pretty sweet setup. Usually the setup I have is good to go with a normal or light rain but yesterday while I was stuck at work it rained something nasty causing a huge headache today. I discovered a good 2 -3 inches of water in the storage compartment under the floor in the back. Ok, not usually a problem... Pull the plug drain the water and air dry, it's a Jeep. For me, BIG problem! I upgraded my sound system and that's where I was hiding my amps. Kinda puts a knot in your throat seeing hundreds of dollars sitting in water. I know, I know your prolly thinking "that's what you get for putting it there" but seriously there have been no issues like this before, it's a good spot to hide stuff, and I had two covers over it. I have no idea how it happened but I pulled everything out and I'm moving the amps under my front seats. Today I pulled the amps apart to blow them off with my air hose just incase any water got inside. I re-wired everything to the new location and tomorrow after everything's been given a chance to sit out and fully dry I'm going to hook it up and cross my fingers it still works. Don't really have much to relay with this thread, I just wanted to share my story. I guess if you wanted to take something away from this it would be that water will always find a way and don't put valuable things that should not come in contact in the storage thing back there unless you've got a full top on.
Thanks for reading!

I have a 1500w inverter mounted to the underside of the cover, holes have been caulked and I caulked a ring around the inverter (to the underside of the cover).
I keep the plug out unless I'm wheeling, and expect to go in some deep water. I have not run into an issue yet with no rear carpet. I have the soft top on, but usually don't have any windows in all summer.

One way to keep the weather off it (but doesn't seal the storage compartment) is to have a insta-trunk or something like it installed. It will keep the water from beating down on the compartment....but, it the top of down, water will find a way in there....
Thanks for the support and ideas guys. I spent the better half of the morning hooking everything back up and well, it all works like a champ! The new location of everything frees up my storage area, it's more protected and looks pretty good.
