The 29/30xl shocks are somewhere around 1" longer compressed than stock (rubicon shocks)
With a small amount of bump stop you can run the 29/30's.

For you guys running the 9000s, have any of you loaded your rig up with a lot of weight (ie camping gear, etc)? My ride is great already w/ the 5100s but I'm considering these on the rear in hopes that increasing the firmness setting will help with tapping the bumpstops so much when loaded down.

Matt, et al ~ Can you get these with a black boot?

I've got these shocks on all four corners. I've normally got 200-300 lbs of equipment for work in the trunk and back seat all the time. I have them set around 5 on the adjuster and they handle just fine. If I was going to do it again I'd still go this route.

Actually I have heard of guys running Mono's up front and the 9000's in the rear for towing. But you may still hit the stops, FYI. The boots on the rear shocks are a hard plastic boot but can be removed and replaced with a black boot. It can be a little tricky, FYI. The P/N is RS1952. It is a 9.5" boot.
Thanks!

Want to order the 9000's and wondering which ones to order. Have a JKU running 2.5" coil lift with stock shocks on extentions currently. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Bevan, Matt, thanks. I think I'll try them out once camping season rolls back around. I would expect it to still hit the stops but just hoping that they may provide enough resistance that I can cut that down a decent percentage.
