Yeah.. Gonna invest in a grinder to get rust and paint off of bumper. I need to remember to get more anti seize too. Once I get the lower bolt off I can tackle my carrier and bumper.

I hit a snag with tire carrier so I've proceeded to do my bumper. I have a grinder with a wire brush and I took off all the old spray paint and roll on liner.

There are some spots that I brushed down to the bare metal, some spots have a blueish paint showing. Is that the original primer?

Should I have taken the whole thing down to bare metal?

So far I rubbed the bumper down with MEK.
I sprayed some of the rust spots with a rust converter. Let that sit for an hit or 2, then sprayed it down with the acid etching primer that raptor suggests.

Tomorrow I spray!
