Default Rattle under acceleration.

Any time you hit the gas and our moving down the road I have a rattle that sounds almost like a heat shield or skid plate. It only makes the sound while under acceleration and moving. I can rev all day if in Park and no rattle. Any guesses guys?

Mine was the heat shield that crosses the center of the jeep on the exhaust only did it under acceleration too. Had 3 cracks in the tap welds use screwdriver to pry to see breaks.

Mine had a similar issue. It would rattle around 2k rpm's, just as it was shifting into second. I bought 2007 jkur used with a 4" skyjacker lift already installed. It took me a while to figure out what was causing it.
It ended up being the emergency brake cable hitting the exhaust pipe. When the lift was put on it stretched the cable just enough to make contact with the exhaust. The fix was simple: just remove the bracket for the e-brake line. No more rattle for me.

Hope this helps.

Check your crossover pipe on the exhaust. It contacted my crossmember only 20,000 after buying my jk.

X2. Even upon inspection it didn't look like any of the welds on the crossover pipe shield were broken, but as soon as I put two cheap screw-on clamps over the shield & pipe I never heard the rattle again. Most satisfying fix ever.

Had a similar rattle it ended up being the heat shield on the control arm was loose and pushed on the exhaust.

I had a rattle and it turned out to be a loose coupling near the driver door. The nut was loose and a washer would rattle.

It is your exhaust. Look for a loose or broken rubber hanger.
