Question Is RC 4" complete lift really complete?

I'm hoping for some advice on lifting my 08 JK X 2 Door. I like the price of the RC 4" complete kit, however, it seems like it's not really complete. I've found bits and pieces of advice on the what and what-not's regarding this lift. I'm new to the game with my stock JK and need to know what else is required to get me safely on/off road with this kit? The kit comes with front/rear upper/lower control arms, will I have to replace those immediately due to driveshaft replacement issues with the 4" lift? I would rather spend the money all at once for the lift rather than realize more is needed after each purchase. PLEASE ADVISE!! THANKS ALL

I think you'll find that in general nothing is ever complete.. once you start modding you'll find that something is always not perfect and could be better. Just something to keep in mind going forward.

The RC lift with control arms is complete, if you plan on never making any changes. It will dial you in to one thing only.
You might need some adjustable trackbars, but that would be it. I got some adjustable control arms, but I didn't get the kit with arms. I don't think I'll ever go much further than this lift, so getting the one with 8 arms would have worked out just fine as well.

i was wondering the same thing. i have 2 emails out to top gun customz and rough country as well asking them if the control arms that come with the kit are the proper length for the lift. I would hope that was the case and Adj. control arms would not be an issue. i will update as soon as i get any kind of answer back on this.

very confusing...however, i've done a little more research and i think the most complete kit is the teraflex--looks like the only extras would be front/rear driveshafts and stearing stabilizer. seems well worth saving a few more pennies.

chet0213 - i'm still interested in what top gun customz and RC had to say

RC is a good kit. The 2.2 shocks are very good.

I have the RC 4" lift kit. I ordered adj. front lower arms because with the RC arms, you can't have the caster that YOU NEED (depending of your tires, etc.)

hey guys, update on this kit. i had emailed rough country directly as well as through a shop and both came back with the same answer on this kit. The control arms are the proper lenght for a 4" lift therefore adjustable control arms are not needed for castor angle unless other mods come into play. this is good news. It sounds as though they just sold a kit for me and im sure this will answer many peoples questions. So for the money you can get this kit and spend $300 on front and rear adj. track bars and have a very nice kit.

jk freedom, did you order the coil lift kit or the kit with control arms? i am interested to find out cause i will be upgrading to 35" tires with this kit as well and do not wish to purchase adj. control arms just yet?

This is not true. I have the 4" lift. And you will need adj. front lower control arms. Trust me. If you install 35", you will need more caster anyway.
