Default RC2.5 Coil Lift

I just installed the RC 2.5" coil lift with the 2.2 Nitro shocks. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. My local dealer wanted $250.00 for installation, but I'm glad i did it myself. Curiously I didn't have to readjust my steering wheel. It was perfectly centered after I finished with no computer problems, but I was probably just lucky on that.YMMV

It rides just a little rougher, but I like it. It feels like a real Jeep now.

But now, your castor has a smaller degree. I recommend to buy front lower adj. arms to avoid DW and having a better driving

Thanks Scooter Scott. I'm very happy so far. No problems and should be adequate for the 33's I want.

By the way, do you like the JKS quicker disconnects?

One of my mechanic friends told me that I needed to get all the suspension parts to make it ride nice and if I just get the coils and shocks like this RC 2.5 kit it will ride like shit compared to stock.

Any suggestions or disussion on ride qualities?

I have rubi rims and tires on there now and I have a unlimited. I want to get 33x12.5 r 17s. How would this lift look with that set up

It rides firmer but not harsh. I like it. Stock seemed to float to me. I am running 255/85 16 with mine. The picture does not do it justice, the lift looks bigger in person.

Do you take it off road or just onroad for looks? How much has it killed your mileage(even though jeeps dont get good mileage I know) Also are you going to buy all the other suspension parts later on?

I'm really enjoying the lift...put it on a few weeks ago and still love the feel and look of the Jeep...it rides better than stock in my opinion, and I like having to climb into the Jeep every morning for the trek to the Pentagon, makes the drive so much more enjoyable...

Default Your Mileage may Vary, but....

I haven't noticed any real effects on mileage after the lift. My gears did lower my mileage by about 1 mpg though.
I do off road so most of my mods have been concerned with that aspect. I don't really care if my Jeep rides rough(lift) or occasional barks a tire in a turn (Detroit locker).
I am a little skeptical of the need of all the extra parts for a 2.5 inch lift and 33's. I suspect some companies develop kits designed to max out your credit card instead of your Jeep. If I see the need later I may adjust my thinking, but for now I'm getting very good performance on and off road with my lift kit just as it came from RC. YMMV
