RogerMar1280, yes i did solve the issue with gear shifting after i re-geared and locked the rear. so remembering back to that time, we didnt know you could not use a lunch box locker in the rear. all the newer jk models 2012+ to be exact cannot have those lockers because the tpms/traction control system was unable to recognize one tire over turning the other in turns, there for it was sending the computer into limp mode and you couldnt shift passed 3rd gear. you had to stop the jeep and turn it off and then take off in a straight line. so after all that mess i went back and bought the eaton E locker and all issues have been resolved since then. and to answer other questions referring to, if i had programmed or re tuned my jeep the answer is yes. my lift kit came with the superchip and i did program the jeep for 488 gears but it still did not recognize the lunchbox locker. so 2 years later since the original post, i have added new front ultimate dana 44 axel, truss kit front and rear, eaton E lockers front and rear, its a crawling machine now.

Resharp001, i am in east texas, close to barnwell mountian. and as far as the super chips go and reading codes, and the other apps to try and get the codes to pull up, jeep hadnt made one yet for stupidity, or listening to your friends and going cheap code. i sent it to the shop several times and noone was able to figure it out. I think jeep got smart these past few years, especially with JL wranglers, my wifes JL you cannot and i mean cannot add anything electronic to that jeep unless its a mopar part and the computer recognizes the code you have installed. i installed on her jeep some new traction control sensors becuase jeep went cheap on those and they go bad twice a year for us, so i went to o reileys and picked some up and put them on her jeep, welllll..... dont ever do that. every light came on on her dash, it somehow tripped the computer so bad that nothing was working right, when you turned on the jeep the screen would read rubicon instead of her sahara, and was things were not right. we had to take it to the dealership and it cost 500$ for that mistake. 20$ cheap traction control cables cost us 500$. stupid. last jeeps we buy.
