Default Re-program a "married" ProComp/Hypertech AccuPro??

So a buddy gave me an old ProComp/Hypertech AccuPro Speedo and Odo Calibrator. Problem... It's already been "married" or synced to the VIN of his old JKU. He no longer has the Jeep and it was never reset to stock. Is there any way to get this thing to recognize a new VIN or is it a funny looking paperweight? Real/experienced feedback only please.

It's a PC52001-1
For 2003-2009 5.7L and 2008 4.8L
and 2005-2006 4.0L and 2007-2009 3.8L Jeep Wrangler

Thanks!!
