It looks that you had top cut body metal to get that to fit. Am I right?

Here's the thread ...

I already had my muffler relocated so the tank fit easily in place of the stock muffler. With a tank as small as yours you should be able to mount it between the frame rails somewhere.

Not the best place to mount it considering the instructions tell you to mount it in a dry location. IMO

Mount what in a dry location? The compressor is sealed and weather tight and the air intake filter is inside the cabin of the jeep. The tank is just an airtank. It could be submerged under water and still work fine.

Never had any problems and I have had airhorns mounted on 4 vehicles so far. Soon to be 5.

And if someone had apprehensions about mounting the compressor outside it fits behind the brake lights. That's where i would mount it if i did it again.

I say you mount the air horns under the Jeep if you dont plan on getting them wet. My buddy has a train horn mounted under his truck and another under his cherokee and it doesnt affect it at all.
IMHO that brackets the best position for the air tank.
If you dont want your horns getting dirty then put the air tank under your Jeep.

I noticed you also bought this in a kit seeing it on other forums. I cant seem to find the kit. Can you help me out?

I'm just going with the instructions from Viair that said in bold print to mount the compressor in a dry location.
