Default Rear Bump stop help

When installing my lift I ran into issues where I needed to remove the passenger side rear bump stop. My question, is there some secret way of getting that thing back in? I tired twisting, pushing, used factory jack; it would not go back in. Any ideas?

Thanks

Put a little white grease on it and sandwich it on a 2x4 and a jack....then push that sucker up in there

Did that. I even used the factory car jack and the bump stop was compressed to a 1/2", still didn't go
