Default Hi

Hi, I'm new here, so greetings everyone.

The ASFIR4X4 Products Spare Tire Carrier, which has the stop light.

I've been Googling all over in a search for a bumper + tire carrier + Hi-Lift mount + Stop light + locked at the open position + Option for carrying other stuff (either original, or a design that is easy to add fittings on).

So far nothing seemed to meet all the demands.

The ASFIR seems to be straightforward, functional and modular in concept.

Could anyone here recommend or dis-recommend it ?

Thanks

PureJeep has the option of reverse lights for their rear bumpers. Front bumpers too, if you wanted to wire it that way.

Default LOD and Shrockworks

WOL,

Brace yourself! Call me weird or anal or whatever but I want the brand for the front and rear to match.

I love the LOD rear shorty with tire carrier but feel the LOD signature shorty front bumper which does allow for the factory fogs sticks out way to far in the front. I still really like the LOD versions and will probably end up going with them. Just kinda think it might get in the way on the way down when because it sticks out so far. Correct me if I'm wrong on this.

I also like the ShrockWorks Rear tire carrier because it has the reverse lights in the back but don't like the sqaure design of the lights and their shorty front bumpers will not let you have the factory fogs.

I also really love the Poison Spider Brawler Lite with Brawler bar but their rear bumper doesn't have the option for reverse lights.

Just wanted to know if there are any other options out there.

True, but their mid-width is pretty narrow--only a few inches on each side wider than the LOD Signature Series Shorty ...

Of course, Shrockworks gear should only be ordered by someone who has the patience to deal with a long wait and unreliable delivery estimates (and having to pay up front). Plenty of threads on that subject. I've compared my front and rear Shrockworks bumpers (I feel the same way about matching brands--LOL) to LOD's products and there are definite differences. Don't get me wrong: LOD makes a very nice line of bumpers. But, Shrockworks are noticeably better when compared side-by-side.
