Default REAR Bumper Bobbing/Trimming

.
Once I found where a guy notched and modified his rear OEM bumper cover to make the width shorter, but I've been searching all day, and can't seem to find it now.

I'm getting ready to trim my OEM flares and don't want the rear bumper to stick out further than them.

The guy notched a V section out, and then brought the two cut edges together before plastic welding them. End result, his bumper lost a few inches, and still was capped on the end.

I find front bumper modding thread all day, but nothing for the rear. Thanks in advance.

Planning to trim the flares this weekend, and will want to do the bumper shortly afterwards, cause I know it'll drive me nuts till I do.
