Im no hitch expert, but the bumper installs I've seen are pretty close up and personal, I can't see there being room to leave an existing hitch.

Any of the decent bumpers attach in a very direct to the frame way, I would think the new hitch would be just as good as the preexisting one.

though you can't get it without the trailer hitch...I got the last one they had that didn't have a trailer hitch.

now they put a hitch on every one.

it opens nicely along with the tailgate and it handles my 37" just as well as it did the 33"

Any chance you have the model number for the original ACE without a hitch? I'm wondering if I could find one, maybe deep on the web somewhere. I also emailed Ace, just to see what they might suggest.

Weight is somewhat of a factor - with the 35s on this thing I don't want to add tons of additional weight. I honestly wasn't aware of the Teraflex option, but will definitely give it a look.

True, but when you migrate to 37's you won't have to upgrade again...

and they are nearly bulletproof, I was even able to get an optional Jerry can mount so I have 5 gallons of spare fuel for myself or someone stuck on the trail.

Full teraflex kit is about $700? Know anyone selling it for a better price?

I decided to go with the Teraflex option to keep weight down, single-pull, no license plate relocation, and if I want to add a bumper down the road, it's no issue to do so.

Thanks to all for the suggestions!

Anyone using the knuckles offroad rear bumper with tire carrier? It's pricy but looks sick!

Check out Northridge 4x4 when you're ready to buy it, they pretty much always have a discount or free shipping for forum members
