Default Rear bumper and Tire Carrier - What is the best?

Does anyone have any recent thoughts on what are the best quality and design for rear bumpers? I'm buying next week and am willing to pay for the best.

AEV, Expedition One, Rock hard look like they have good ones. There's a couple other ones I'm looking at also. Does anyone have a favorite or opinion on what is the best? I can't decide and if I look at another picture or website I might pass out.

Thank you

It's not on your list but I'm partial to my Hanson. It wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for.

thanks it looks nice. I wonder if it opens with the tail gate or if you have to open seperately.

AEV, expedition one, shrockworks seem high quality with good design and are established companies. I'll have to research hanson more but looks good. AEV might be the best for quality and functionality but have some concern about the tail gate being too stiff. Expedition one might open and close smoother. AEV has water tanks in bumper and can carry full shovel and is triple coated. AEV might be the best rear bumper out there. Have to keep thinking and just make the call next week. AEV and expedition one's video's are helpful. I recommend companies pay for a video if they can afford it. It is helpful and professional.

The Hanson does not open with the tailgate. The swing is separate.
The new swingaways with the jerry can racks attaches to the tailgate along with the bumper latch.

You can buy the basic swing away and upgrade to different basket combinations later on. Rear cargo packages

Looks pretty good for the price. I thought i read some negative posts about body armors business practices. Maybe that was road armor..or maybe it was both not sure.

the two different designs

ok thanks. so the tailgate and tire opening together is a new design that companies are starting to come out with. I'm trying to remember what it was like to have to open both seperately. AEV & expedition one seem to be the best and most expensive too.

EDIT: just saw the picture. wow that looks sharp for sure. I will include them in my analysis and have to check olympic too. Then I'm buying next week and am done with rear bumper headache!

no, with the new rear cargo basket it still opens seperate from tailgate, theres a latch on the tailgate to release the carrier portion and a latch on the bumper. Sorry I dont have pictures of this.
