Question Rear Bumper Winch

Iam looking to modify a LoD read bumper to work a winch into it. Has anyone else attempted to add a winch in a rear bumper yet? I would like to chat with someone who has.

have you ever considered just using the warn winch portable hitch tray? having a winch in the rear is a novel idea but i having it mounted down below like that will leave it exposed to water, mud, dirt, debris and salt depending on where you are located - none of which is good for a winch.

Eddie,
I was going to box ot in and possibly modify the crossmember. Never thought about the exposure as being overly bad. I was going to get a sealed model. I will look up the winch tray and see what that is. Thanks

I like what I see... looking into it right now. You may have just sold a bumper.
