Default Rear Deck grommets

This is a strange "mod" thread, but I want to remove the two OEM bumpers for the spare tire, but cannot locate anyone in my area who carries any type of rubber plugs that I can put into the holes. If anyone out there knows who handles this type of item I would appreciate knowing who they are. I am ready to install the Warrior rear deck center piece and 3rd brake light and would like to remove the bumpers at the same time.

Default Try.......

Try a local NAPA car parts or McMaster Carr .com they have all kinds of things and I'm sure they will have what you need.

They are somtimes refered to as body plugs. They come in many different sizes. I picked mine up from a guy that does Paintless Dent Removal (PDR). They use them a lot when they drill access holes for dents. have had mine in the gate for a year now and never had a problem. Just as stated before an auto parts store should have a mixed size package for sale.

Default Plugs

I went down to my local salvage yard & grabbed all the body/tailgate plugs off a rolled TJ he had there. The tailgate plugs fit the holes you mentioned. Cost zip & had two that fit, plus a few others for the other holes. I had no luck w/any of the parts stores in my area. Good luck.
