Default Rear diff. with rust

I bought my brand new Jeep on March 31, and there is already rust on the rear diff. cover, because the black paint is falling down...

I installed a Rancho cover on the front diff. and I think I will have to do the same thing on the rear one. I could also sand it and repaint it...

surface rust on a diff cover is pretty normal - annoying but normal. you can always knock off the loose paint with a scotchbrite pad and then hit it with some rustolium.

I was very dissappointed with the chassis painting on my JK when purchased new, alot of the components were not even painted.Bought 1/2 dozen cans of semi-gloss chassis paint and try and touch up/repaint every time I am underneath adding mods.makes me feel better

whenever you have a jeep, doing touch ups to a lot of components, including steel bumpers, becomes a regular thing. so don't de dissapointed, also you pay more attention to the undercarriage of you jeep.
