rear facing light bar
So I got a 52" led light bar today that I got in a trade, and have been trying to figure out where to mount it. Since I already have a 50" on the front windshield, i figured I'd mount this one in the rear. The only problem is that I don't know how to go about doing that. What are yalls thoughts? Is it even worth the effort or should I just sell the light bar and buy some cubes or something for the rear?
I think that it would be barely used that's a hell of a lot of light to throw out unless you are reversing a lot down a trail would work well for tailgaters though. But for sake of argument. Do you have a hard top or soft? I'm sure if you had a roof rack it would be fairly easy to mount up there.
I tried this. With a soft top, the key was to secure the lightbar to the rear tire carrier (Expedition One) so the Lightbar swings away allowing access to the soft top. Mine is 46" and single row so therefore lighter than the double row 50-52". Super bright and fun to play with, in reality there better alternatives and I replaced the lightbar with two 3" single bulb back-up lights.

I have the slant back soft top from besttop, I looked at roof racks but theyre so expensive for the slant back versions. It's just one of those super cheap ebay light bars so I figured it wouldnt be too much of a waste to throw it on the back
I have an LOD rear bumper with trail rack coming. I plan on mounting a 10" flood bar on the bottom of the rack above the tire. Flood only bars are hard to find, but I've located a few. I may even try to fabricate some kind of diffuser for it. This will provide light for camping and working behind the Jeep.

I've thought about making some sort of diffuser for a pair of rigid cubes on my four wheeler but had no idea how to go about doing that. Would be interesting to see what you come up with if you decide to go that route.
