Default Rear licence plate relocation???

Hello to all!

Yesterday while I was wheeling I got hung up on a tree between my rear driver side fender flare and the licence plate bracket. Had to get winched side ways to get out of that trap. I'ev heard that there is a relo kit for the rear licence plate, but so far I haven't able to find any.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

ORO makes the kit, let me see if I can get a link for you.
Quadratec sells this kit which is the Rockhard relo bracket and the ORO liteplate combo for $95

Great! I looked it up on google and I found this link: www.4x4xplor.com/ORO-LitePLATE.html

Is this it?? If so, will this work with the OrFab tire carrier? I don't have this tire carrier yet, but it is coming soon.

Thanks

I found it in the Quadratec site, but it doesn't say that it is compatible with the JK nor does it say its universal.

Funny you should ask me that question!!! Is this a test? I have the OR-FAB carrier and was really looking into fabbing my own bracket since the one I pictured will not work. The ORO lite plate is sold by itself on the site as well.... I am probably gonna make my own plate bracket and go that route.
I like the fact that the Lite Plate is a plate light and third brake light.

it uses the wheel studs on the spare tire carrier. so it should work just fine. I have it on my jeep. there is a write up on it https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ight=liteplate.

The OR-FAB carrier does not use wheel studs, it has a T handle spin off!
Here is the other link I found using the search feature......

Cool They say great minds think alike. When you do fab up something to relocate your license plate please post pics I'll PM you for the details.

BTW, are you happy with your tire carrier? When I get mine installed I'll also look into what I can fab to relocate the rear license plate. Thats if you haven't done yours first.

Thanks!

Very happy with the carrier! Which one are you getting? I have the tire/gerry can/ Hi-Lift carrier. I even was so happy I went and got front and rear OR-FAB bumpers..

I'm going for the non jerry can version. I think I can get the hi lift jack mount apart for this tire carrier. Did you install it your self. If so, difficulty level and how long did it take?

Thanks!
