Default Rear locker woes

I run 35's and 4.88's on my Unlimited X with factory rear locker. I got hung up in a mud hole on Monday, but was able to get out of it by rocking it back and forth (manual tranny). My locker was engaged and I was in low range. Every thing seemed great until i tried to unlock the rear locker. The locker indicator light on the dash is on a constant slow flash. I can lock the locker and it becomes steady on. Does the constant slow flash indicate a broken locker? I am planning on taking it to the dealer soon. Also this thing has been flashing for a week now!

Not many people know about the package from jeep. It is possible to get a real locking rear diff and electronic front sway bay disconnects from jeep for $1500 on build sheet. The locker is push button engagement in the same spot as the rubicon. The two come together and cannot be ordered seperately. Cool huh!

The blinking means that the locker is supposed to be disengaged, but the signal that it is has not been sent (or received) that it is engaged. Do a sharp turn on a flat surface and feel if the locker is engaged. Also inspect the wiring harness to the diff.

Hopefully it is just a switch issue in the housing or a wiring issue outside of it. Hopefully the dealer won't be fussy about your bigger tires.
