No welding.

Cut with angle grinder. Fill with JB Weld. Spray with OEM color. Then spray over with Rustoleum clear. Done.

When u cut it does it leave a gap to fill? Or is it still together? (Hard for me to explain, sorry)

Yup. There is a small gap. I just filled it with a little moldable JB Weld. Just finger pack it and let it dry before you paint over (if you choose).

Larger tires will rub on that corner during a flexy moment.. On the newer JK's it comes cut from the factory (at least my 13 was )

Be sure to cut in front of both spot welds so it all stays together also. There's a good video on you tube

Stole this pic from another thread here. When larger than stock tires get stuffed up into the wheel well, they can come into contact with the sharp corner piece - possibly shredding the tire. This pic shows where he has marked to make his cut.

Whether or not you need to do this depends on the tire size, lift height, bumpstop height, etc.
