Default Rear Seat Brackets

Has anyone found a way to keep the rear seat (full tumblar) in place when it is in the upward, folded position?

I think he is talking about when the seat is in the up position (tumbled) position.

That is correct, when the seat is folded up (tumbled) and is close to the front seats. When I accellerate, the seat heads back into the sitting position and then slams back into its tumbled position (back of front seats). Basically the rear seat goes back and forth and I am looking for a way to secure it in its' tumbled position.

Any remedy for this? THANKS ALL FOR YOUR REPLIES

He must be talking about the 2 door. When I had my TJ the seat would go back when I accelerated then slam back up when I hit the brakes. I took a nylon strap ( I guess a bungy cord will work too ) and hooked it on the top of the seat and the bottom of my drivers seat.

My YJ had a strap on the seat and a hook on the floor. When tumbled you could hook the strap to the floor and it would stay there. I assumed my JK would have the same thing, but it doesn't. Seems that rear cup holders were more important than being able to secure the seat.

Of course, I just took the backseat out the day after I bought it and haven't put it back in yet. If there were an easy solution to this, I might actually keep the backseat in.

I just tossed a milk crate sized box in there. Keeps junk from rolling around, and keeps the seat in the tumbled position.
