Default Rear seat squeaking

Took it back to dealer and they blamed the after-market lift of course.

So I'm on my own trying to figure out where this weird squeaking noise is coming from. It's in the rear seat area somewhere, because when driving it's noisy, unless someone sits on the seat, then it's gone.

anyone had a similar noise?

for all of ya i think i figured mine out!!!!!!!!!!!the e-brake cable!!!mine did it and it drove me nuttttssssss.....it didnt do it on compression though so bouncing on the jeep didnt help me pin point it, finally i got under it over the weekend and started lifting it (bench press drivers side)and sure enough there it was. the e-brake cable had upwards pressure on it and the lever where it enters the back of the caliper would squeak on the side!!!with a passenger in the back the suspension never rebounds enough to hear it..i un hooked the e-brake cables from the top center of the frame and the squeak was gone!!!!

WOW, I like all of you have this same exact problem
...and have been trying to figure it out for months.... I would have never guessed it's an E-brake issue. I will have to check it out this weekend! Thanks!

I have to know WTF does a lift have ANYTHING to do with a seat being squeaky?

There's less gravitational pull the higher you go... so the seat isn't as firmly placed when you raise the jeep 3 inches.
