Default Are the rear shocks inside the coils or outside?

Since I haven't seen one yet - are the rear shocks inside the coils or outside? Since I tow, I always put airbags inside the coils - adds 1000 lb of cargo capacity without sacrificing road handling or trail articulation - but you can't use them if the shocks are inside the coils.

The shocks are outside the coils and I'm sure you can run air bags no problem.
