rear spring guide - top mount
 

I finally decided to get rid of the TF Budget boost... nothing wrong with it.... Love the TF products, just replaced the BB and installed some actuall 2.5 inch TF springs......

Looks like I might have gained an inch.....

so thats cool


Issue is now I dont have the drop down guide to keep my springs in line. I did buy the JKS spring retainers for the bottom... PIA to install but they do work.....


Question is this....

I am pondering ordering these from TF...

Never will be against their products.... but .. with a slimmer budget these days... is there another alternative? Or is TF the only way to go.......

Again.. nothing against TF.... they have been very good so far... just looking to save a buck......

Thanks for the post and idea... but just bought bottom retainers.. so only need the top......


But will keep it in mind..... can always pull off the bottom mounts i just put on and resell them....


Or return them for being a PIA.. lol

You gained an inch in height from the coils, but are using the same shocks? Over-extending and dropping a coil should be prevented by the shorter shocks now, shouldn't it?

x2...if you're using the same shocks you don't need those top spacers/retainers. And if you went from a 2.5" TF BB to a 2.5" TF coils you actually lost .5" in the rear as the rear coils provide 2" of lift. Still though, if you're using the same shocks (or factory shocks with extensions) you don't need the spacer/retainer. They are only needed if you go to a longer rear shock like the TF 9550's

Unless he has the TeraFlex one's.

Since Install I have been using Rubi shocks with the extenders... guess I should have added that.... New shocks will be coming after tho... so yea... will need something
