Rear sway bar LINK angle
Luckily I just finished relocating my rear hard brake lines. Mine did the same thing as resharp001's did.. I moved them inboard of the frame and through the top ala Currie Anti-Rock instructions.. What a pain that project turned out to be after kinking the hard line and learning how to do double flares...
I do have the stock links but the passenger side is bent real bad.. My jeep isn't my daily driver so I think I'll work on the muffler next, then move the mounting back and just measure for the links once everything is aligned.. It never ends!

I got this project started finally.. Interestingly enough I think there is enough overlap in the muffler joint that I can move the muffler back a little and clear the relocated swaybar. The only thing I haven't been able to make work is the stock rubber muffler hangers. If I stretch them far enough to make it work, it pulls the can back into the swaybar. I ordered a set of longer hangers so that should make things work. I moved the muffler back about 2" and still have plenty of clearance at the rear bumper and nothing seems to be touching. Once I get the hangers in I will give it a run and see how it works out. So far there is no leaking from the joint (that I can tell)... Now my links are vertical and my sway bar is just a couple degrees above flat.. Hopefully this works!
You can simply weld a new tab on the axle that moves the mount forward for your link to mount to. Should be able to use the factory links as well.
Something like this would do the job for cheap. It would move the mount forward about 2" https://www.ballisticfabrication.com...nt=28203641159

Just gotta watch out for any ledge drop-offs on the rear. Hopefully 2" for the muffler/exhaust tip being pushed back towards the rear isn't enough for it to get smashed on your next outing.
Its hard to tell right now how much lower the muffler really sits without the hangers on there. It looks like it only moved the muffler back about 2" and down about 3/4".. Ill know for sure after the hangers are put in...
Overlooked your post....I'm not really sure where you would weld new mounts? If you moved them up from the stock location it wouldn't affect the angle and would require new, shorter links be added. Unless I'm not following what you're saying... The links are leaning forward, almost touching the spring pads.. Are you talking about moving the lower link mounting point to the front of the axle tube instead of the rear?

Yes, Synergy makes a relocation kit that moves the sway bar mounting points back
SYNERGY MANUFACTURING :: Jeep JK :: Synergy Jeep JK Rear Long Travel Upper Shock Mount, Sway Bar Relocation Bracket
It moves the sway bar down 1" and back 1 7/16"... By moving the mounting point down it causes the angle of the bar to be too high on the link mount end, which means buying shorter links to get it parallel to the ground again. If you unbolt the mount and move it back, you can now use the front bolt in the rear frame hole and use a thread-cutting bolt on the rear to re-install the mount, effectively doing the same thing as the synergy mount but without lowering the swaybar at all. From my understanding you can't use the stock muffler with that mount because the 1" lowering pushes the bar into the top of the muffler.. My goal was to move the sway bar mount back and straighten the links straight up and down, keep the sway bar parallel to the ground and keep my stock muffler.. A lot to ask for really..

Here you can see how far back I had to slide the exhaust to make it clear the sway bar.. I just wd-40'ed the joint and wiggled it down til I was clear of the bar..

Moved it back about 2" or so, plenty of room between the muffler and the rear frame. The red/black cables are the Warn winch cables for the rear. Basically gives me a 12v exterior plug-in for my compressor or jumper cables...

Old hangers are about 1/2" too short to be able to reach..

Here is the synergy kit.. I believe has an aftermarket muffler and has moved his evap can back to that area as well.
