What do yall think about the paramount rear bumper with tire carrier? I know it doesn't connect to the door, but for the price it doesn't seem like a bad option.

Brought back to life from a couple months ago.. I'm thinking of purchasing this for my new wheel and tire setup. I noticed that when you removed the right bumpstop to install the tire carrier, it left the hole where it was attached. Is there something that blocks up this hole so water does not seep into the swing gate from the open hole or do you recommend just finding something to plug the hole with.. Also is the tire supposed to rest on the carrier with the left bumpstop still installed? Thanks!

I used a sharp knife to cut most of the bump stop off, just leaving the large outer ring close to the door and reinstalled the bump stop. Then installed the hinge over the trimmed bump stop.

It was thin when I cut most of the bump stop off. Just left the large outer ring. The hinge fit fine over the trimmed bump stop.

Default Bestop Rear bumper

I have the Bestop Highrock bumper with tire carrier. I have had it since it first was offered 2 years ago. Ran 37's and now 41's I had to make a new bracket to offset the 41 to clear the bumper but it has been great. No problems at all and a very high quality bumper. I also cut and rewelded the end caps to line up with the flat fenders.
