Default Rear upper spring perch issues

I got screwed pretty bad by mechanics when I was younger and ever since then I have always worked on my own cars. I am borderline anal about getting torque specs and making sure everything lines up. When I installed my lift I noticed that the rear upper spring perch has nothing holding it in place. I didn't like the idea but when I lowered it down I did it slowly to make sure it was sitting correctly. The next day I took it to get my tires mounted and they put it on the lift and sure enough if the springs where not secured with the teraflex lower retainers the springs would have fallen out. I told the tech to keep an eye on it when lowering it and pointed out the issue and he said no problem.

When it was on the ground everything sat even and it rode fine I didnt give it a second thought. Well today while investigating a clunk sound in the rear driverside I noticed that the driverside rear spring is half on the perch half off and bowed. the passenger side is sitting correctly.

Its no issue I will pop it on the lift at work tomorrow and line it up but I just got back from a 600 mile road trip on the freeway and feel that it might be a little dangerous not to mention I tote my kids around in this thing. Is there anything that keeps the upper perch lined up? Or is this something I am going to have to routinely check after wheeling trips or after it has been on a lift?

I dont see how the teraflex spacers would help unless they mount into place somehow? I would think they would shift around too.

I did a google search and found a kit that clamps the upper and lower in place but not sure I like the idea of clamping both sides of the spring down.

I will look at the limiting straps. I'm not sure what they are.

limiting straps just stop axle from dropping lower then you want it to. and the teraflex guides pop in hole above spring .its still loose some what.

The TF rear spacers do press in to holes on the seats that keep the spacers from moving. Then the posts keep the springs on.

I have a 3'' Teraflex lift on a two door W/ retainers & spacers. My springs had a bow to them & would work themselves to the rear of the spring bucket. Not to mention the passenger side spring was hitting the rear track bar. I ended up cutting the lower perchs free & rolling them forward. This helped straiten the springs up at normal ride height. The springs have not given me any more trouble.
