Does anyone know if having the stealership relcalibrate the speedo($100) will help with shift points? or does it just correct the speedo? I am actually only 1-3 mph off at the very most according to GPS so I just don't want to do any damage to the tranny buy not correcting it??
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately the dealer can only adjust for the 32" tire size. You could look at the power programmer, if the improvement is worth the money for one will be up to you, others have had good success with them. I'm not sure I would spend the money to re-gear for 33's though, but it is an option. If you intend to go with bigger tires down the line then you can certainly justify it then. If you're going to be driving in a hilly area, shut off the OD. I always disable mine when getting on the freeway, as it likes to drop into OD just as I'm trying to merge in traffic.

Since you have an 08, your gears may be 3.21's in which case the gearing is more for gas miliage rather than performance. With that in mind even with a re-flash, you might still feel the x-mission lugging, and therefore downshifting.
Even 3.55 gears seem a bit undersized to me for 33" tires. I would want no less than 4.10's.
He has an auto, therefore 3.73's (for 2008). I agree that 4.10's would be about ideal.

I find mine wanting to backshift constantly at 45-50mph just when I am starting to give the tiniest bit of gas like I start to accelerate to 46-47mph or from 51-52mph it just backshifts, it just doesn't seem right, so I have been turing it off in the city completely.
Like I said it's maybe only off a mph or 2 but I guess it's trying to compensate for all the unsprung weight? So Iam hoping the accupro will help out the shift points?
