I want to do this to my JK in some areas like the grille. Would you guys recommend auto body wraps against mud and rocks compared to paint?

Wow! That is actually pretty cool!

As for doing it to the JK, I wouldn't see why not. Seems it would hold up pretty well against most branch and brush scratches and when you got bored you could just peel it off and change it up!

I'm interested as well if anybody has done this for recreation and what the associated cost's might be.

I want my jeep done in the flat black. Any ideas what the cost would be and if there are any places in the northeast that do it?

Fish's Link above said it cost $2K and three days of work.

Cheers!

I looked into this a little and it is tough to install and even harder to take off. If you have it done it is really expensive.

Yeah I know I was thinking of installing it on just the grill and the little panel between the hood and windshield. I think it'd be like trying to put a giant decal on your Jeep

If you are ever in Northern California, there's a shop here in the San Francisco Bay Area that does these wraps for a lot of movies and race cars. Shop is called Sam's Signs. They've done an amazing job on everything I've seen, but sorry I don't know prices.
