What kind of grease should I be using for discos and control arms? I used the red Mobil 1 synthetic but still get some squeaks. Anyone?

i don't have any joints on my jk that require greasing yet, but i've always liked green grease on my other rigs. you can find it at most auto stores or just buy it online.

It depends on what is squeaking. The grease you are using is fine. I use the same stuff. But if your bushings are squeaking then you need to use something other than grease. You need to use something that can penetrate between the rubber and the metal. You can use WD-40 but the life is short, the suggestion to use 3 and 1 oil is better because it last longer. Give your bushing a squirt of WD-40. If it works then go get the 3 and 1 oil.

You have to regrease you control arms?? I thought RK (which I have) didnt need to be regreased... If so ... do you have to drop em all down to regrease??? I dont see any links to connect a greasegun to on my control arms?

To be honest with you all...Lucas Oil: Red and Tacky is the best there is for anything. If you look at new parts you get almost everything comes with Red n' Tacky on or in it

Thanks for the replies. I will try the wd-40 trick and see if that works and if not I will have to try out some of the other products.
