I put the skid row on my 2 door 08 wrangler. Works great. Added a couple of diff covers too.

You want to do something with the evap canister. Its plastic and vulnerable. I just put a skid on mine, its cheaper to move it but I did not want to deal with relocating it.

I've added what works for me:

1. Oil Pan Skid. I use the Rock Hard. Great oil change splash guard and very stout. Ran my YJ for a long time with a real scary dent in the oil pan. Didn't want to repeat that with the JK.

2. Diff Covers. Went with Riddler's. Bombproof comes to mind. Pealed back my stock rear diff cover sliding off of a rock. Slow leak, but annoying. Did the same thing once on my YJ. Beat it back into shape. Had a friend back into a sharp rock and put a hole right through his diff cover. Enough experience to justify the expense!

3. Evap Skid. Again went with Rock Hard. Haven't knocked off the evap cansiter, but the web is full of stories where people did. I like the Rock Hard instead of relocation because it nicely fills the hole in front of the axle. Had a rock or two up there and the evap skid keeps things from getting jambed in front of the axle.

4. Rear Shock Skids. Kilby shock skids work great. I have Rancho adjustables and love them, but I kept breaking the knobs off on rocks. Got a stack for free from an off-road shop, but decided I like to keep the adjustability working more then replacing knobs.

5. Front e-disco skid. Came with the Shrockworks front bumper, but already had it up against rocks that might have taken out the Rubi's e-disco. Now, no worries.

6. Front Lower Control Arm skid. On the wish list. Mine are pretty banged up, but no failures yet.

My 2 cents.

AZJeeper, that was a GREAT reply. I am one of those unfortunates who relocated an Evap Cannister on the Trail and got the Rock Hard skid plate from NorthRidge when I put it all back together. I will get their oil pan skid next. Have the TeraFlex diff covers, but haven't put them on yet.

Just added the ORE Rockstar rear shock riser and skid for the shock and control arm.
Had shock skids, but kept hitting them because they were so low.
