Default In regards to the Full Traction 2inch lift....

I just want my truck to sit a little taller, is this a good way to go?? I will keep my stock tires for now, but I'm wondering if I will need to purchase anything else for this to work.

I would also like to keep things cheap and hang on to my stock shocks and spring.

Hey chewymatt, yes, the FT 2" Econo Lift is a good way to accomplish what you hope to do but you will need new/longer shocks as the factory ones will be too short. BTW, what size tires are you running now? Just so you know, anything less than 32" will kind of look tiny.

I still have and hoping to keep my stock tires, will this look funny.

Is there any way to keep the stock shocks?? Will the stock springs work?

I have the 17 inch rims, but can't seem to be able to tell the size of the tire..I looked everywhere.

Thank you kindly for your help

I've got the 2" Full Traction Econo lift. I've got the 18'' wheels and stock tires for now. When I upgrade to 35's I will replace the stock shocks. Runs fine with them for now.

If you are running 17's, you have a 255/75r17 - no matter which wrangler.

Can you post some pics? I would like to do the 2" econo lift and keep my 18" rims and the tires as well. Just not sure what it will look like.

Brit, do you have any pix of your jeep? I don't believe I've seen the 2" budget lift with stock 18's.

Edit....he beat me to it!

You will need to buy new shocks with any 2" lift. Your shocks will bottom out.

Yup, shock extensions will allow you to keep the factory shocks but they will still limit the amount of axle articulation you will have. Without extensions, your stock shocks will be too short and they will limit the amount of droop you have. With extensions, the stock shocks will droop more but will bottom out prematurely under compression.
