Regear 2012????
I know that the 2012 has not been out yet but does anyone have any idea if regearing would be nessasary?
Second question, if it is nessasary, with the autos being 5 speed, would we run lower RPM's going 70 rather then 2400rpm (with 5.13's)
Just wondering cause I have no idea.

With any significant tire size change, you are going to have to regear to reclaim drivability, mpg and power.
The info for the WA580 is:
1st. 3.59
2nd. 2.19
3rd. 1.41
4th. 1.00
5th. 0.83
Plug in the above to a gear calculator and see what gearing will work best for you.

I saw in another forum that the 3.73 is the standard for the Rubicon and the 4.1 is a $50 option.
His reasoning is that the new five speed will have different ratio's and the 3.73 will have a similar final drive ratio as the old 4.1 in a 2011. So a 4.1 will have a similar ratio to a 4.88 in the 2011 as well.
