Default Regear: 3.21 to 4.88 Q's?

Guys, gonna be regearing my 2012 with 3.21s soon to 4.88s. Just want to clarify a couple of questions I still have.

Do I need to change ONLY the front carrier to a 3.73+? Will I need new spider gears or can they be reused from my 3.21s? I will be getting a full overhaul kit with bearing and everything.

Any additional info that I should probably know?

Maybe I missed it but what size tires are you going to be running, and manual or auto?

Front carrier is the only one that needs to be replaced, but if your thinking about adding a locker or LSD to the front nows the time, if you go with a full case design you won't need the carrier and if you go with a lunchbox style you don't need to swap out the spider gears. Plus it saves the hassle and cost of going back into it later.

I'm not sure that I want lockers just yet due to the fact that I don't really do a whole lot of technical/hard wheeling. I have a lunchbox style that was given to me but I'm not sure exactly how that would affect my drivability/steering. Can I use the same spider gears from my old carrier in the new?

The old (3.21) spider gears are transferable to the new 3.73+ carrier.

#jeepproblems. But for real for the original question your are better of to get the stuff to run a locker whether you put them in now or later. Later you will do and be kicking yourself for not.

If I were you, I would advise getting a locker. at least for the rear. I thought i'd never use mine as well, but I have, and i'm glad that I have them. I would not use the Lunchbox, it will hinder your steering. IMO
