Default Regear 5.13 Pricing Issues

I See You Can Purchase The Gears Rear And Fronts For 199.99 For Each Package But How Come Everyone Is Coming Up With All These Prices Of Like Over 1200 To Do It Am I Missing Something Besides For Just The Gears Do You Have To Purchase Anything Else And What Is The Overhaul Pacakge Because I Can Probably Get A Guy Around Here To Install It I Don T Think It Would Be 700 In Labor Like A Couple People Have Described. Let Me Know

I just can't read that without hearing all those capital letters in my mind. Anyway, from what I understand, regearing takes a lot of work, not for the beginners. I can see where labor would be around 700-800.

maybe if you have a buddy that is an experienced mechanic he could hook you up but $700-800 is the going rate.

That's hard to believe. Even here (Guam) where stuff is OUTRAGEOUSLY priced, the going rate for a regear is only $250/diff. Is it because it's been said that these diffs are more difficult to get right?
