I have a 2017 4 door with 4:56 and I like it. So far no issues with it any where. I’m on 35s.

With 35s I would do either 4.56 or 4.88s. The 4.88s will give you a little bit more more get up while running slightly higher RPM on the freeway.

If you are going to do a regear, now would be the time to think about lockers as well. I know you said its a pavement princess, but even a limited slip like a Detroit Trutrac would do wonders if you encounter snow. If not, just do the gears and call it a day.

Also, as you get in the steeper gears it makes it rougher on the front diff. The pinion gear on a Dana 30 gets pretty small in the 4.88 and above gears. This leads to less tooth engagement on the ring gear and more likely to shear off ring gear teeth in a bind.

The only time i did that with a D30 and 35s was bound up in a rock patch though. Just one more thing to think about as you decide between 4.56s and 4.88s.

4.88 will do you well. That way you will get the OD in at higher speeds.

Min - 4.88
Max - 5.13

IMO thats the range. JKs are slugs...slo i tend to be more aggressive with gears. I'd go 5.13s but wouldn't blame you for 4.88s. I have had 37s and 4.88s and immediately regretted my decision even leaving the parking lot after regearing. So I regeared again for 5.13s. It was way batter.
