I think 4.56's are a bit too much gear for 33's.

33's and 4.56 would be good, Woods runs that now.

I dont think your RPM's would be that bad and livable if you regeared now... Gas would go down a lot.

Most people are going 4.88 with the 33's. WOL has suggested this in other threads. It will give it more pep and feel like more pony's. I had 373 with my original 33's and thought it was fine, 4.10's and 4.56's then would be good.

hmmm.... sounds alright then i guess..., would the jeep accelarate any faster? im thinking it should, cause of small wheels compared to the 4.56 gear.. this might actually be fun, anyone tried this before? what was the accelaration like?

I'm running 4.88's with Mickey Thompson 33" x 13.50" and it's perfect.
On the freeway at 75mph my rpm's are just under 2500 in overdrive, and my gas mileage is back to normal.

33x 12.5 with 321 and I get around 19-20mpg. Putting on the 35's then regearing in 6 months.

that actually doesn't sound to bad. My stock X with 3.73's and the stock 225's (29"?) runs about the same rpms at 75mph, maybe just slightly less in overdrive.

You should be fine. I run 33's and wheel every weekend with no gears. Definitely go with at least 4.48 or higher if you wheel regularly. If your just driving on the pavement stick with 4.10 ratio
