Yes, I know about that deal. I think that's a pretty rare deal outside of California. My point behind this post is to get an average of what people are paying so I can make a more informed decision. Thanks to those who posted up costs

I posted my costs which were no where close to $1k. Most places I called around here were looking for anywhere from $1500-1800 for a full install all included. One thing to consider is getting everything from the shop that is doing the labor so they will warranty everything on the install.

The approximate "rule" here in MA for a re-gear is about $500 per axle for labor. Some shops are Ok at you bringing your own kits so you can have a full re-gear done for about $1550 if you buy the NR kit. I paid slightly higher for mine since I had my dealer do it using their preferred brand (Superior). I paid $1850 total which included the gear, labor, c gusset install and inner sleeves installed. I believe the place now charges quite a bit more as they were not aware of the amount of work required for the inner sleeves. oops.

Also, I am hearing that shops in MA are starting to raise their labor costs (or estimated time to install) as a lot of the re-gearing requires more than they expected (time to dial in, follow ups, etc).

OK4wd in Stewartsville, on 57. I hear they do great work but can sometimes be a little pricey, though I thought that the price wasn't that bad.
