Default Regearing cost

I will be getting my Yukon 4.88's, Zip lockers, Nitro axel sleeves installed on the front D30, compressor and the switch panel installed for $1385.00 at Cajun Offroad in Lafayette, La in a couple of weeks. I think its a good price and done by an expert in 4X4's. Then I will be working on some 35" tires, so if anyone has any ideas on tires, I am open for suggestions. I have some 33" Goodyear MT/R's with Kevlars that will be hard to beat since I have been a Diehard Goodyear fan since I have been buying my own tires. But, I am open. As far as I can see, Goodyear MT/R 's are one of the lightest tires on the market, but I may be wrong on that. I do like the Nitto Grapplers, but don't know much about average milleage on them. All input is appreciated.

PR44 is Dynatrack's ProRock Dana 44 axle. Do some research on aftermarket axles and their benefits. You might find you'd prefer to save a little more money for one. Several companies make them, Dynatrac and TeraFlex are just 2 of them.

I did and I wouldn't mind it but pricey right now. I'll stick to a budget for now and just sleeve my D30.

Good thing, you've already done your hw then.

Is that cost including the locker and gears or just the install of all that? If it includes it all, it looks like a great deal.

I know Northridge 4x4 is $999 for gears, install kits, and install for both axles. Many people spend $1k-$1.5k for just the gears, kits, and install on both axles.

Gussets would be a very good idea if you are going to get Sleeves.

Man I wish I lived anywhere where that had any deals like that. All my research in the Maryland area (at best) is looking like 800 an axel just for gears and install. The biggest place in the area for jeep work charges 1500$$$$ an axle just for gears and install...... That's crap

Thats just labor to install. Front & rear gears, front & rear Zip lockers, both overhaul kits, ARB compressor and sleeves cost me around $2800.00. I got the sleeves from Northridge, and the gears and stuff from Randys Ring & Pinion.
